The Oklahoma City Thunder have announced that single game tickets will go on sale October 1st at 10 a.m. This is pretty standard procedure for the sixth year franchise.
All home games for the preseason slate and the regular season games will be available on the Thunder home website, thunder.nba.com. You’ll be able to purchase up to four seats at a time. Meaning, scalpers will be slightly limited on what they can buy, I guess. Due to the high number of season tickets, roughly 13,000 seats, there will be a limited amount of single game tickets for sale. There will be approximately 5,203 tickets available per game.
However, if you cannot wait that long, because you’re THAT Thunder obsessed, season ticket holders will be able to start selling their tickets on Wednesday, August 21st, on NBA Tickets Resale Marketplace. The prices can double and triple the values of the tickets through that site. However, it’s the only secondary market that the Thunder and the N.B.A. vouch for selling/buying tickets.
If you are unable to get tickets through either source, here at Thunder Obsessed, we have our own secondary market. We’ve teamed up with TiqIQ, The prices can be as low as 50% below face value. Plus, you help me out when you purchase through TiqIQ.
On game day the Oklahoma City Thunder have the Kia Thunder Reward Zone, That starts on the first regular season game on November 3rd. You’ll basically go downtown, in front of the arena, sign up and wait until they draw your number. Last year, you were able to do online, that way you weren’t waiting forever. In the past, they’ve allowed you to line up for tickets. Some fans lined up as early as the day before for big games.
If you can’t get them through the Thunder/ticketmaster site, we recommend the TiqIQ. We use them a lot ourselves, and they’re very solid.
