Daily Starting Five – 2.8.13

Chuck Chaney February 8, 2013 Comments Off

The Starting Five is five links from around the league that focus on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sometimes serious, sometimes light-hearted. We’re bringing you links from around the world wide web.

This guy is a flippin’ idiot: But Westbrook?  At this point, I think most of us would be surprised if Westbrook re-signs, or even makes it through his current contract.  Westbrook is locked in through 2016 at a max deal.  That summer, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent. (cont…)

Andrew Gilman talks about the presence of Russ: This is Westbrook. He’s never changed and he likely never will. His coaches don’t seem to have a problem with him and his teammates certainly haven’t made any waves about him, either. (cont…)

Jim Traber rips Thunder broadcast crew: Traber has long complained that Davis and analyst sidekick Grant Long offer few, if any, negative comments about the Thunder’s play during game telecasts. He even has taken a few shots at radio voice Matt Pinto. (cont…)

Every sneaker in the league!: The OKC Thunder have the biggest feet in the League. Conversely, the San Antonio Spurs have the smallest feet. (cont…) Thunder breakdown

About The Author

I founded this site in May of 2011. It started out as a way to vent a lot of my thoughts on the Thunder in the 2011 Playoffs. However, people loved what I had to say and I watched my personal twitter grow from people wanting more Thunder knowledge. I was the Sports Editor at Eastern Oklahoma State College, also wrote for the OU Daily. I’ve had my work posted on USA today, Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.com. I give a fan’s perspective while being knowledgeable, but I’m real. It’s not all candy and rainbows, I’ll call a player out if they’re not living up to the team’s expectations. So, bring your big boy pants and let’s Thunder Up!
