Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that Derek Fisher has agreed to join the Oklahoma City Thunder for the rest of the season.

Fisher who spent the last fourth of the NBA season with the Oklahoma City last season. This season, Fisher played nine games with the Dallas Mavericks before retiring due to a knee injury and missing his family, so he said.
Upon his release from the Mavericks in December, Fisher said: “The recovery time will be approximately two weeks. With this news and the difficulty I have been having being away from my family, I have asked the organization to waive me so I can return home.
When Fisher was with the Los Angeles Lakers, he helped them win five World Championships and Fisher was a vital locker room piece in the Thunder making a run at the NBA Finals last season, before ultimately falling the Miami Heat.
Despite being 38-years old, Fisher was productive in his short stint with the Mavericks. Fisher averaged 8.3 points per game, 3.6 assists in just over 25 minutes per game.
Last season for the Thunder, Fisher was often a defensive liablity, and was very inconsistent on offense. He averaged 4.9 pppg in 20 games, in about 20 minutes per game. He had a PER of 10.4 last season. Now, Fisher is a year older and coming off a knee injury.
As Thunder nation applauds this signing, this has to make you wonder on how much the Oklahoma City Thunder actually trust the second year point guard, Reggie Jackson. Only time will tell this season.
